I met his family, all 12 of them in a beach house on Ocean Isle, North Carolina. Sister/Husband, Brother/Wife, Brother/Wife, Mom Dad, and 3 kids and a teenager for week of getting together and having fun.
it's amazing how family dynamics can differ from culture to culture, family to family. There were NO put downs~everyone was positive and thankful and smiling. No name calling.
Things that you think are no brainers but happen all the time and you find yourself joining in on the laughter until after a while you leave just to recollect yourself because you just don't want to guard yourself anymore. That didn't happen.
No criticizing, just chattiness and a general sense of love and appreciation.
I loved it.
